Product Revamp .
Legacy product modernisation for UK teams. We audit, plan and re-architect what is slowing you down, without a disruptive full rebuild.
What's included
Everything you get.
A structured revamp that fixes the right things in the right order.
Technical Audit
We map your architecture, dependencies, test coverage and deployment pipeline. And give you a prioritised fix list with effort estimates.
Architecture Re-design
Where the current design is the root cause, we propose an alternative. With a migration path that keeps the product live throughout.
Incremental Migration
New and old systems run in parallel. Features move across one by one, verified in production before the old version is retired.
Performance Optimisation
Database query analysis, caching strategy, CDN, background jobs. Targeting the bottlenecks your users actually feel.
UX Rationalisation
We identify the 20% of screens your users spend 80% of their time on, and redesign those for clarity and speed.
Documentation & Handover
Architectural decision records, updated API docs, and a runbook your team can actually use. Written during the project, not after.
Why clients come to us
Problems we fix.
The problem
Releases are slow because every change breaks something else
Our solution
We refactor the critical paths first. Tests, decoupled modules, clear interfaces. So your team can ship with confidence again.
The problem
Your stack is so old that you can't hire for it
Our solution
We migrate to a maintainable modern stack incrementally, so you're never running two systems at full complexity at the same time.
The problem
Users are churning because the UX hasn't kept up with the product
Our solution
We redesign the flows users actually use most, keeping the mental model they've already learned. Evolution, not revolution.
The problem
Nobody on the team fully understands how the old system actually works anymore
Our solution
We map the existing system before touching it. Dependencies, data flows, hidden logic. So nothing breaks silently during the rebuild.
How we work
A process you can follow.
Four stages. Each one has a clear output before the next starts.
- 01 Discovery
Audit what exists
We learn what's working, what's costing you users, and what success looks like next.
- 02 Design
Plan the rebuild
Architecture, interface and a migration plan — agreed before anything changes.
- 03 Build
Rebuild without the rewrite risk
We modernise in stages. Every release reviewed and tested against the live product.
- 04 Run
Stand behind it
Monitoring, support and iterations after launch — we don't disappear at go-live.
Common questions
Quick answers.
How do you avoid breaking the live product during a revamp?
We use a strangler-fig approach. New components replace old ones at the edges, tested in production with feature flags before the old code is retired. We never do a big-bang cutover.
How long does a product revamp take?
It depends on scope. A targeted performance and architecture fix takes 6–10 weeks. A full stack migration with UI redesign typically runs 4–6 months.
Should we rebuild from scratch instead?
Rarely. A full rebuild is slower, riskier, and loses the institutional knowledge in your current system. We recommend it only when the existing codebase is genuinely unmaintainable. And we'll tell you honestly if that's the case.
